Pastor James Durr, is the youngest of 4 children raised in a pastor’s home.  He is a native of Anchorage, Alaska, where his father has pastored the same church for 50 years.  Pastor James loves his family (wife, two daughters, and one son), the outdoors, carpentry work, winter sports, hunting and fishing, reading, and just generally being alive.  He graduated from Bartlett High School in Anchorage, AK in 1988, and continued his education at Scott Community College and finally received his Bachelors in Religious Education from Bible Missionary Institute in 1992.  He and his wife, Michelle, have been happily married for 25 years.  They have 3 children, Brittany, who is currently teaching English at a school in central Pennsylvania, Christianna, who is a sophomore in pre-med at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, and Chip-James, Jr. who is currently a sophomore studying business. James has been a pastor for 26 years, beginning his ministry in South Dakota and moving to Michigan in 1997 where he has pastored since.  He has pastored Bristolwood  Church for 15 years.  James has served as a volunteer chaplain for Spectrum Health for 6 years and is currently a volunteer for the Walker police department serving as chaplain.  He has served in this position for 11 years.   James and his family enjoy the various aspects of ministry and feel it an honor for God to have called them to fill this place in his Kingdom.
